Hi! My Name Is Opal

Special Needs: Medical Condition
Like other Shiba Inus, opal is almost like a cat. Very independent, doesn't like to be held or squeezed or cuddled. She'll sit down for a few pets now and then. She is very playful, and full of energy all the time. I've never seen another dog out last her during playtime. We've had several broken leashes either from being chewed through or just snapped from opal darting off during a walk. She hasnt quite learned about personal space. Especially with small dogs (she was trampled by a husky as a puppy and has since been scared of all big dogs), she will be right up in their face and won't back off even as the other dog tries to walk away, but she doesn't mean to be intimidating. She just wants to play more. She loves tennis balls and hot dogs. She has seasonal allergies which she takes apoquel for per her vet. She will bite at her paws and paw at her eyes until they're swollen when it gets bad. She's perfectly healthy otherwise. She likes people, but she definitely keeps her space at first. She is definitely territorial and possessive of her food, toys, random things she finds outside, etc.
